Lotions and Potions and Pills

Lotions and Potions and Pills - - Oh My!

What’s wrong with “lotions, potions, and pills?”

Nothing, nothing at all.

“Lotions, potions, and pills” is a phrase created by people with a different type of product or service. They wanted to try and set themselves apart from other MLMs, most of which offer a variety of vitamins, nutritional supplements, and personal care products. They had the mistaken idea that if they made fun of certain products, then their product would look better.

Take a moment to consider how many vitamins, nutritional supplements, and personal care products are on the shelves of stores like Smith’s, Kroger, Walgreen’s, and Wal-Mart. The items are there because that’s what consumers want!

MLM and direct marketing companies just use a different type of marketing to get similar products to consumers.

No matter how many MLM or direct marketing companies you can name, most of them (past and present) have (or did have) nutritional supplements and/or personal care products.

There’s nothing wrong with these types of products, but a few companies or individual distributors have been in trouble for making claims that a product can prevent or cure a disease when there’s nothing to substantiate that claim.
